NCA here I come!
As an undergraduate my professors always talked about the NCA convention and encouraged us to submit papers. Now as I look at my empty suitcase I realize that I will finally be part of the NCA conference, although in a different capacity. I am going to be able to meet and interview some of the greatest minds in the field of communications and learn from their academic papers.
I am most looking forward to hearing the various speakers and gaining insight into different perspectives and topics from a communication standpoint. I'm not going to lie, flying from freezing Boston to a sunny San Diego is a definite bonus.
This is an opportunity for all of the Emerson Press Team to experience new technology, new places, and new ideas. Before this post, I had never blogged before and after this weekend I'm sure that the amount of new ideas and skills that I have will vastly increase. I have begun the countdown - This time on Thursday I will be in warm, sunny San Diego as part of the NCA Press Team. Now I just have to figure out what to pack!
