Constructing Societal Wit

Throughout history, many claims have been made associating media use to the construction of personal traits, but no notable studies have been done to explain how cultivated ideas actually become part of a personal identity. Using the ideals of the social construction and cultivation theories, I claim that due to the prevalence and popularity of humor and wit on televised programs, individuals construct a personal reality in which wit is a crucial aspect of personality
